About Us
Overview
Founded in 1996, Southeast Community Outreach for Older People (SCOOP) was initially funded by the Robert Woods Johnson Grant, based on the Faith in Action model which is a national network of faith-based community organizations working to create innovative solutions to problems facing the elderly in the community.

Goals
  • Encouraging independence so the elderly can remain in their homes as long as they possibly can, with our help
  • Providing a network of interfaith volunteers and institutions working as a ministry of faith in action
  • Promoting and encouraging independence for older (60 years of age and older) physically disabled persons
